Ampelakia

The coastal town of Ambelakia is located on the east side of the island in the homonymous bay. Ampelakia is built on the site of ancient Salamis and it experienced a significant economic boom in the late 19th century until the 2nd World War. Some of the sights worth visiting are the small church of St. Peter, Ypapantoula and the archeological site of the Tomb of the warriors of Salamina.
